Sensei Lisa Magiera
Sensei Lisa Magiera began training in the Martial Arts in 1995,
attending the Aikido School of
Self-Defense in Delmar,
New York with
Sensei Rick Wolslayer.
In 1996, Lisa moved to Arlington, Massachusetts and to the
School of
Chung Moo Doe, now known as
8 Martial Arts for Health.
In 1998, Lisa moved to Maine and began training with
Shihan Beth and Shihan John
Bielat, at Bushido Karate Dojo in Casco.
Lisa received her Shodan (First
Degree) rank in December 2002 and
was at that time fully responsible for
the children's karate program.
In June of 2004 Lisa Magiera received her Nidan
(Second Degree) rank. And in July of 2004 became
the
co-owner of
Bushido Karate Dojo
and Fitness Center.
On August 22, 2007 Lisa received her Sandan (Third Degree) rank.
She is the head
instructor of the Adult and Children's karate
programs at Bushido Karate Dojo in
Casco.
Lisa is a
certified AFAA Personal Trainer,
AFAA Group Fitness Instructor,
Zumba® Fitness Instructor
and a
r.a.d.KIDS Personal Empowerment and Safety Education Teacher.

Sensei Eric Magiera
Eric
Magiera, co-owner of Bushido Karate Dojo & Fitness Center,
began his Martial Arts training in the Winter of 2001 at the
Bushido Karate Dojo under Shihan Beth and Shihan John Bielat.
He has competed in the Maine State Martial Arts Rated Tournaments,
and is
the 2006 State Champion for Kata and Sparring
and
the 2006 Divisional Champion for Kata and Sparring.
Eric is a nationally Certified r.a.d.KIDS Instructor.
r.a.d.KIDS is a Personal Empowerment and Safety Education
program for children
from the ages of 5 - 12.
Eric received his Shodan, 1st degree Black belt in August 2008.
He is the head
instructor for the Little Ninjas Karate Program;
and assistant instructor, with
Sensei Lisa Magiera, for the
Adult and Children's Karate
programs at Bushido Karate Dojo.
